Maduro Unveils Alleged Far-Right Scheme Aimed at Instigating Civil Conflict in the Country

President Nicolas Maduro informed Venezolana de Television that extremist right-wing factions made efforts to provoke a civil conflict in Venezuela after the presidential election conducted on July 28, 2024.

According to a report by TASS, the Venezuelan leader accused the nation’s ultra-right factions of orchestrating a plan solely intended to incite violence. He disclosed that there had been an attempt to spark a civil war in the country on July 29-30.

Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro has accused non-governmental organizations of acquiring millions of dollars to support efforts aimed at destabilizing the country, alleging their involvement in organized crime activities. Maduro asserted that while NGOs are welcome to operate in Venezuela, they must adhere to national laws and abstain from participating in any conspiracies that threaten the nation’s peace.

Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro announced the successful thwarting of plots and efforts aimed at destabilizing the nation. Speaking on the matter, he credited military, police, judicial, and law enforcement agencies for their roles in countering these threats. Maduro further affirmed the government’s commitment to maintaining peace, unity, harmony, and advancing progress within Venezuela.
