Victory: Iran Says Military Might Deterred Zionist Offensive
Iran's top security council reports that the formidable military response from Iran, initiated under the operation True Promise III, compelled the Israeli government to unilaterally cease its aggressive actions.
In a statement released on Tuesday, the senior Iranian security officials commended the nation’s security forces for displaying “exemplary courage” amid the recent hostilities with Israel. This statement came just hours after the cessation of 12 days of aggression, as part of an agreement brokered between Tel Aviv and Washington.
In reaction to the recent hostilities, members of the Iranian Armed Forces, described as valiant and selfless, have acted under the directive of Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, the Leader and Commander-in-Chief, demonstrating notable bravery in countering these aggressive acts, according to a statement.
The announcement followed Israel’s confirmation of a pause in its offensive, originally declared by Trump on Tuesday morning. While Tehran has not officially acknowledged the ceasefire, Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated last night that Iran would suspend its retaliatory actions “on the condition that the Israeli regime ceases its unlawful aggression against the Iranian people.”
The Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) highlighted that recent operations conducted by Iranian armed forces involved missile strikes targeting both the US-managed Al-Udeid Air Base in Qatar and the entirety of the occupied territories.
The statement praised the “extraordinary vigilance, timely action, resistance, and solidarity of the Iranian people” for derailing the adversary’s primary strategy. It highlighted the favorable conditions this created for the “steadfastness and stunning power of the warriors of Islam,” cultivated through years of innovative and tireless effort, to be fully activated during the 12 days of intense and skillful resistance.
The outcome has been characterized as a “divine gift” attributed to the nation’s wisdom, the military’s determination, and the insightful leadership of Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, which culminated in the adversary’s regret, defeat, and an unilateral end to hostilities.
The statement reiterated that Iran’s military forces continue to maintain high alert status, poised to deliver a decisive and regrettable response to any fresh acts of aggression.
On June 13, Israel initiated a significant offensive against Iran, resulting in the deaths of military commanders, nuclear scientists, and numerous civilians.
On June 22, the United States, in collaboration with Israel, conducted airstrikes on three Iranian nuclear facilities. This action represents a significant breach of the United Nations Charter, international law, and the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT).
The Iranian military has vowed to unleash severe consequences on Israel, initiating a series of punitive missile and drone attacks targeting critical locations within the occupied territories.
The following day, Iran unleashed a series of missile strikes targeting the al-Udeid air base in Qatar, which is recognized as the largest American military installation in West Asia.
Iran’s armed forces have issued a statement following the successful execution of the retaliatory operation, ‘Tidings of Victory’. The operation, as stated, was conducted in direct response to what Iran describes as the “blatant military aggression” by the United States against its nuclear facilities.
The facility functions as the main headquarters for the United States Air Force Command and is considered the most significant strategic asset for the American military in the West Asian region.
