Iran’s President Pezeshkian Asserts Negotiations with West Show Strength, Not Surrender
Iran's President Masoud Pezeshkian has emphasized that the ongoing discussions between the Islamic Republic and Western entities are not indicative of succumbing to outside pressure.
During his visit to Ilam in western Iran on Wednesday, the nation’s top official stated that discussions with the United States and European countries are being steered by policies meticulously crafted by Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution.
He stated that engaging in dialogue should not be misconstrued as succumbing to pressure, emphasizing that the Islamic Republic maintains its resolute stance against any form of oppression and coercion.

Pezeshkian voiced criticism regarding the limitations that Western countries were attempting to place on Iran’s scientific progress, particularly in critical areas like nuclear medicine, agriculture, and industry.
The speaker questioned the rationale behind relying on external entities to determine access to specific pharmaceutical materials linked to nuclear energy. He described the situation as “unacceptable,” criticizing the ability of outside parties to intervene in these issues.
Iran’s Nuclear Policy Emphasizes Transparency and Adherence to Principles
Trump reaffirmed Iran’s stated stance of complete rejection in pursuing nuclear weapons, referencing pertinent declarations made by the Leader.
The president invited Western parties to conduct their own inspections to clear any doubts.
He, on the other hand, stressed that Iran’s endeavors in peaceful nuclear research and development should not be confused with military ambitions.
He asserted that dismissing nuclear weapons does not imply surrendering the right to scientific and technological progress.
Criticism of Israeli Actions and U.S. Backing
In response to the escalating situation in the Gaza Strip, Pezeshkian voiced strong condemnation of what he described as war crimes perpetrated by Tel Aviv in the coastal region, allegedly with substantial support from the United States.
He questioned whether anyone with a conscience could tolerate a regime attacking unarmed women and children, bombing civilians, and obstructing access to essential resources like food and water.
An official has issued a strong rebuke to the Western bloc, accusing it of maintaining a silent stance and exhibiting double standards in the region.
He criticized the Western backers of the regime, accusing them of hypocrisy for simultaneously advocating for human rights while offering extensive political and military support to Tel Aviv.
In a pointed query, the president questioned, “Is this the representation of human rights? Do these acts of brutality exemplify democracy and freedom?”
