Over the last 72 hours, the Islamic State of Iraq and Al-Sham (ISIS) has attempted to recapture the villages they conceded to the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) in the Aleppo Governorate’s eastern countryside.

However, ISIS’ counter-offensive in the Al-Bab Plateau of east Aleppo never really took off, as their assault on the small villages near ‘Ayn Al-Bayda was repelled by the Tiger Forces and Liwaa Suqour Al-Sahra (Desert Hawks Brigade) this past weekend.

For three straight days, several hundred ISIS terrorists attempted to breach the Tiger Forces’ frontline positions near ‘Ayn Al-Bayda; however, they could never bypass the pro-government forces’ first line of defense in the Al-Bab Plateau.

According to a military source near the Kuweires Military Airport, over 60 ISIS terrorists were killed during this failed counter-offensive in east Aleppo this weekend, including several foreigners from Chechnya, Iraq, Lebanon, and Pakistan.

ISIS has become desperate along the east Aleppo front, as the Tiger Forces and their allies have advanced to the outskirts of the terrorist group’s stronghold of Al-Bab.

The Tiger Forces and their allies sit just two villages south of Al-Bab city, leaving ISIS in a state of distress as they find themselves under attack at both the eastern and northeastern (Menbeij) fronts of Aleppo.
