Iran proposes Istanbul as venue of next talks with 5+1

Iranian President’s Senior Assistant Mojtaba Samareh Hashemi said Iran insists on Istanbul as the venue of the next round of talks with G 5+1.

Referring to the remarks of President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad in his recent press conference in Istanbul, he said Iran believes that the continuation of the talks should be based on justice and mutual respect.

Talking to reporters here Tuesday after the conclusion of the cabinet meeting, he said he was not aware of any proposed places by the other parties in the talks.

Samareh Hashemi further welcomed the return of G 5+1 to the negotiation table and said it was Iran’s will to solve problems within the framework of mutual respect.
