Two-year-old Palestinian toddler latest victim of terrorist israeli regime crimes

A two-year-old Palestinian toddler died four days after being shot in the head by Israeli occupation forces (IOF) near Ramallah in early June.

Mohammed Tamimi and his father were shot while leaving their home in Nabi Saleh, in the occupied West Bank.

The pair were in their parked car outside their home in Nabi Saleh village when they were targeted, according to eyewitnesses.

The Tamimi family lives in Nabi Saleh, which lies west of Ramallah, near the Israeli settlement of Neveh Tzuf.

The father, Haitham Tamimi, 40, said that such shootings at residents and nearby houses occurs frequently.

Haitham recalled what had been a calm evening last Thursday when Mohammed had accompanied him to the car. Moments later, he heard the sounds of gunshots.

“I was trying to drive the car to move it away from the direction of the shooting, which was direct and heavy on the car.”

Mohammed was airlifted to the Sheba hospital near Tel Aviv after the incident last Thursday night and remained in a critical condition until medical officials announced his death on Monday.

Haitham is still being treated at a Palestinian hospital. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

Haitham strongly denied the Israeli narrative, which claimed that Palestinian fighters opened fire near him.

He said that their neighbors were quick to gather to rush the wounded to a hospital in a nearby settlement. Haitham said a soldier stopped them at a checkpoint and that Mohammed was evacuated by air ambulance.

Mohammed Tamimi was the youngest Palestinian to have been killed by Israeli gunfire in the West Bank.

Twenty-seven Palestinian children have been killed in 2023. Israeli forces have shot and killed 20 children in the occupied West Bank. Six children were killed in the May military offensive on the Gaza Strip.

Unlawful killings of Palestinian children have become the norm as Israeli forces become increasingly empowered to use intentional lethal force in situations that are not justified.
