Video- Syrian Army storms key site in Aleppo City

The Syrian Arab Army’s elite Republican Guard forces arrived to the Al-Assad Military Academy on Monday morning in order to help their embattled comrades recapture a number of sites from the jihadist rebels in southern Aleppo, including the 1070 Al-Hamdaniyah Housing Project and Hikmah School.

ANNA News followed the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) into the 1070 Housing Project, filming the soldiers escorting civilians to safety, while they prepare to strike back against the jihadist rebels of Jaysh Al-Fateh.

According to a military source in Aleppo City, the Syrian Arab Army has begun their assault on the 1070 Housing Project; however, no gains have been reported as of yet.

The Syrian Armed Forces will need to recover the 1070 Housing Project in order to forestall the jihadist attempt to lift the two week long siege on the eastern neighborhoods of Aleppo.
