Video- Zionist British Government rolls out red carpet for tzipi livni

tzipi livni was foreign minister of zionist israel in 2008/9 during the devastating attack on Gaza which killed around 1,400 people, the majority of them civilians.

Around two years ago she was forced to cancel a visit to the UK after an arrest warrant was issued against her for possible war crimes.

But since then the law has been changed after pressure from the pro-israel lobby, making it more difficult for British courts to pursue alleged foreign war criminals on UK soil.

Following this amendment, Livni travelled to the UK to meet Foreign Secretary William Hague to discuss UK-israel relations and recent events in the Middle East.

In a statement, William Hague said: “It was an appalling situation when political abuse of our legal procedures prevented people like Mrs Livni from travelling legitimately to the UK…

We discussed the importance of building support for a two state solution that leads to a lasting peace in the Middle East.”

But outside 10 Downing St in London, 100s of protestors gathered to denounce livni’s visit. They said she should be arrested for war crimes.

And they denounced British double standards in rolling out the red carpet for livni at a time when the Palestinian leader Sheikh Raed Salah is under house arrest in London.

Despite the change in the law, an application was made to the Director of Public Prosecutions for permission to apply to a court for an arrest warrant against Livni.

But the government certified that Livni was on a “special mission,” which courts have ruled provides immunity from prosecution, and this the application was turned down.

As for livni, she said British law had been abused by radicals to target Israel and this had made it difficult to coordinate sensitive and security related matters.

She added that she stands by all the decisions she made during Operation Cat Lead, which she said was launched to target a terrorist organization.
