Yemeni Missile Strikes Disrupt Ben Gurion Flights, Forcing Settlers Into Shelters
Yemen's Armed Forces launched a new missile strike on Israeli-occupied regions, disrupting operations at Ben Gurion Airport near Tel Aviv and triggering sirens throughout various Israeli towns and settlements.

On Sunday morning, an anti-Israel operation was executed, prompting confirmation from the regime’s media that air traffic at Ben Gurion was suspended following a missile launch originating from Yemen.
According to reports from the Hebrew-language daily Yedioth Ahronoth, multiple flights faced aerial delays as a result of a Yemeni missile incident. Specifically, four flights encountered postponements in their landing schedules at Ben Gurion Airport, instead maintaining flight paths off the coastline.
The Israeli military reported that its air defense systems were actively engaged in intercepting a missile launched from Yemen, after detecting a ballistic missile headed toward its territories.
Israeli media outlets have reported that air raid sirens have been activated west of the occupied al-Quds in response to a ballistic missile threat originating from Yemen.
Yemen’s military has announced that its missile forces executed a precise military operation targeting Lod Airport, also known as Ben Gurion, in the occupied area of Yaffa. The operation utilized a hypersonic ballistic missile.
The operation has successfully met its target, prompting millions of Zionists to seek refuge in shelters and resulting in a complete halt of airport activities, according to the statement.
The Young Americans for Freedom (YAF) have reaffirmed their “sustained ban on air travel to Lod Airport,” noting that a majority of airlines have adhered to the restriction over the past days, leading to a substantial reduction in air traffic at the said airport.
The statement emphasized that the ongoing violence against civilians in the Gaza Strip is compelling Yemen, with its resilient populace, committed leadership, and its mujahid forces, to intensify efforts and expand military operations designed to cease the aggression in Gaza and end the blockade.
Since March 18, following the renewed Israeli actions against Palestinians in the blockaded Gaza Strip, the Yemeni military has responded by launching 39 ballistic missiles and deploying at least 10 drones targeting the occupied territories, as a gesture of support for the Palestinian cause.
The most recent assault in Yemen marks the third incident within a span of four days, and the fifth since the previous Sunday.
In an incident earlier this month, the Israeli military was unable to intercept a missile launched from Yemen, which successfully hit the heavily fortified Ben Gurion Airport, resulting in injuries to at least six individuals.
In November 2023, the Yemeni Armed Forces launched a campaign targeting ships and installations associated with Israel in the occupied territories. This move came in response to what they have labeled as a genocidal offensive by the regime in Gaza the previous month.
In January, Yemen suspended its assaults following Israel’s acceptance of a ceasefire agreement concerning Gaza.
Two months later, Israel unilaterally violated the ceasefire in Gaza and recommenced its military actions, spurring Yemeni forces to reinitiate their activities in support of the Palestinians.
The initiatives designed to compel Israel to cease its military actions in Gaza and lift the debilitating blockade have caused significant disturbances in global shipping, tourism, and air travel. Numerous international airlines have suspended services to and from Israeli airports in response.
