Syrian Army Blows Up Terrorists’ Arms Cache Near Aleppo’s Kuweires Airbase

The Syrian army units, backed by popular forces, discovered and smashed an arms cache of the terrorists in a region Northwest of Aleppo Kuweires airbase just to the East of the city.

“The army managed to blast the terrorists’ cache of a large volume of weapons and equipment in Karam al-Tarab Northwest of the airbase,” a military source said on Tuesday.

The source added that in addition to blowing up the arms depot, the Syrian forces managed to advance in Sheikh Saeed region in the Southern part of Aleppo city.

In Southwestern parts of Aleppo on Monday, commander of the artillery units of Ahrar al-Sham was killed in a missile attack on his car.

Abu Nour al-Turki, who was also a notorious commander of Jeish al-Fatah terrorist coalition, was killed in a thermo missile attack by the Syrian army and Hezbollah’s missile units who hit the convoy of his vehicles in Housing Project 1070.

In addition to al-Turki, a number of Ahrar al-Sham fighters were also killed in the attack.

Earlier reports said on Monday that Syrian army soldiers and their popular allies have taken back more positions from the terrorist groups in the Northern outskirts of Aleppo city, and are preparing to take yet another major stride in completing the siege of the terrorists.

“Syrian government forces drove out Jeish al-Fatah terrorists from al-Shaqif region in the Northern outskirts of Aleppo city and launched mop-up operation in the newly-captured region,” the sources said.

“Al-Shaqif region is now under the full control of the Syrian army men and other pro-government combatants,” the sources added.

“With the seizure of al-Shaqif region, al-Kandi hospital and Handarat camp, the Syrian government forces are tightening their siege on the militants trapped in the Eastern districts of Aleppo city,” they underlined.
