Yemen's military forces have published footage documenting the interception and sinking of the ship Magic Seas. The vessel, owned by a company that breached the Yemeni prohibition on ships bound for Israel, was targeted in this decisive action.
The video evidence captures the crew of the vessel ignoring calls and warnings issued by the naval forces prior to the initiation of military action against them.
Footage captures the moment the Magic Seas came under attack by unmanned naval vessels, subsequently leading to an operation by Yemeni Special Forces that resulted in the vessel’s sinking.
Brigadier General Yahya Saree, the spokesperson for Yemen’s armed forces, declared on Monday that they are prepared to employ appropriate force against any vessel associated with the company in question, which has engaged with the Zionist enemy and breached the entry prohibition to occupied Palestinian ports.
He declared that the company’s vessels are considered legitimate targets for their forces wherever accessible, and they must assume full responsibility.
Saree declared that the Yemeni military forces will persist in obstructing Israeli maritime activities in the Red Sea and Arabian Sea, as well as disrupting operations at the port of Eilat, until the Israeli offensive on Gaza ceases and the blockade is removed.
The MV Magic Seas, a bulk carrier operated by Greek interests and registered under the Liberian flag, was en route to the occupied territories.
The Red Sea, an essential maritime route for oil and commodities off Yemen’s coast, has been closed to vessels en route to Israel by Yemen’s armed forces since November 2023. This move is in solidarity with Gaza and follows Israel’s controversial military activities in the region.
