Tehran Anti-Terror Summit Seen as Best Move in Campaign against Terrorism

Participants in the two-day International Conference on Global Fight against Terrorism in Tehran believe that the gathering is one of the most complete moves in defining proper strategies for campaign against terrorism.
“In description and explication of grim event of terrorism in different dimensions like state-sponsored terrorism and terrorist groups, the Tehran conference will play fundamental role,” said Mohammad Reza Forghani, a member of the content committee of the conference secretariat.

In an exclusive interview with international conference on global fight against terrorism website, the content committee secretary knew Tehran conference as one of most complete moves to acknowledge and analyze strategies on fight against terrorism.

“Considering the importance of terrorism on one hand, and the important role of Tehran in international issues and encountering with dangerous phenomenon on the other hand, the Tehran conference has a high position in international affairs,” he added.

“Despite opposition to the arrangement and holding of this international conference, different countries and international organizations have attended this event,” he said, mentioning that the large number and the senior rank of the participants prove its importance.

“Campaign against the grave phenomenon of terrorism needs a firm will of the countries, unified and international movements and having a distinctive meaning for terrorism,” the official concluded.

These days, Iran is hosting an international conference against terrorism. The Tehran conference has brought together senior officials from at least 60 countries, and representatives from several international organizations including the UN.

The event is aimed at increasing international convergence and coordination in fighting terrorism.
