West will be biggest loser if talks with Iran fail

Political analyst Sadallah Zarei says that if the upcoming talks between Iran and the 5+1 group (the five permanent members of the United Nations Security Council plus Germany) fail, it will only harm the interests of Western governments and Iran will be less affected.
In an interview with the newly established Tasnim News Agency in Tehran on Wednesday, Zarei said, “During the previous rounds of talks in Istanbul, Baghdad, and Moscow, the Western side has shown that it is not willing to reach a common modality with Iran over how to resolve the nuclear dispute.

“The Islamic Republic of Iran has always declared that it is ready to engage in talks with the world powers and allay the international concerns regarding its nuclear program.

“From Iran’s point of view, the talks should be conducted in a specific framework in order to attain positive results that can benefit the two sides. However, the Western side has yet to respond to Iran’s logical proposal and is continuing to postpone the completion of talks through obstructive tactics.

“It will be the West that will suffer from the failure of the upcoming talks because Iran has always been successful in turning threats into opportunities, and nothing can prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear expertise.”
