Who turns the wheels of US Capitalism?

Who turns the wheels of US Capitalism
Despite sufferings brought about by US capitalism for people in America and the world, reports show that Saudi Arabia and UAE’s heavy imports from the US turn the wheels of capitalism.
According to latest figures, US exports to Arab world rose 17 per cent in 2012, reaching $66bn. Arab Business website reports that report by National US-Arab Chamber of Commerce (NUSACC), shows that US exports to 22 Arab countries have risen from $56.18bn in 2011 to $65.91bn in 2012, which is highest growth for one year.

This figure has risen 4.5 per cent compared to US exports to Arab countries. David Hamod, President and CEO of NUSACC, says “despite Arab Spring challenges, US exports have been increasing to these countries.”

Hamod’s statements indicate that much of these imports from the US are energy and weapons facilities, revealing that despite public hatred towards US, Arab governments have significantly increased imports from the US.

NUSACC has predicted that US exports will reach $167bn by 2015. The Persian Gulf Cooperation member states are US main markets, Saudi Arabia and UAE being the largest importers, both purchasing half of US exports. Egypt is in third place, and Qatar and Kuwait are in fourth and fifth rank.

Other than Egypt, whose economy is in state of disorder, all Arab countries are those where public protests has not reached, and whose rulers are supported by the US and Israel.
