Deir Ezzur: Syrian Army Dispatches Military Convoys to Desert Region
The Syrian Army sent massive military equipment to Badiyeh (desert) region and destroyed ISIL’s positions and movements as the terrorist group increases its moves in the region.
Battlefield sources in Eastern Syria said that the Syrian Army has dispatched a large number of troops and massive military equipment to Badiyeh area and near the city of Bu Kamal near the border with Iraq in a bid to reinforce its military positions.
The sources pointed to the dispatch of over 250 Syrian troops together with military equipment to areas near the city of al-Mayadeen in Eastern Deir Ezzur, and said that this measure has taken place after the ISIL increased its movements in the area.
They sources, meantime, said that the Syrian Air Forces pounded the ISIL’s movements near Badiyeh al-Sukhneh, T3 Station towards an area stretching to the administrative border with Deir Ezzur province in Eastern Homs, destroying several targets and inflicting heavy losses on the terrorists.
Meantime, the Syria Army’s ground forces engaged in fierce clashes with the ISIL terrorists in Northeastern Humeimeh in Eastern Homs, killing several terrorists.
In a relevant development, sources said that the ISIL terrorists have increased their attacks on Syria’s economic resources as the country is struggling against harsh economic sanctions by the US and the West.
A Syrian Army military source said that over past two months, the ISIL terrorists have launched attacks on roads and railways in Homs province as well as an oil tanker carrying fuel for Western Syria.
He reiterated that ISIL’s moves to strike a blow at Syria’s economy comes as the Western countries and the US have imposed harshening sanctions on Damascus, including an oil embargo.
The military source also pointed to Syria’s preparedness to reopen Bu Kamal-al-Qaem strategic crossing along the border with Iraq, and said that the Syrian Army has reinforced its military positions near the international highway in central Syria in a bid to maintain security along the vital road.
In a relevant development last Wednesday, the Kurdish-language media outlets said that the ISIL terrorists are present in the areas controlled by the Turkish Army in Northern Aleppo.
The Kurdish-language Hawar News quoted local sources in Northern Aleppo as saying that the ISIL terrorists are stationed in Ankara-controlled regions in Northern Aleppo under names of terrorist groups backed by Turkey.
The sources released a photo of ISIL flag mounted on the vehicles of a member of Shohada al-Sharqieh which is affiliated to Turkey in the city of Jerablus is Syria, and said that the Ankara-controlled regions in Northern Aleppo have turned into safe zones for the ISIL terrorists.
In a relevant development earlier this month, tens of ISIL terrorists had been transferred from Turkey to Afrin region in Northwestern Aleppo as reports said the Turkish Army and its affiliated militants were preparing to launch a major offensive on the US-backed Kurdish fighters in Eastern Euphrates.
The Hawar News Website quoted local sources in Afrin as saying the ISIL terrorists have become active along Turkey’s borders with al-Shieh region in Afrin.
The sources said that the Turkish Army and its allied militants have sent 30 ISIL terrorists who had been trained by the Turkish Army in Hatay province of Turkey to al-Shieh region.
Hawar noted that thousands of Turkey-backed terrorists have recently been dispatched to Afrin from Idlib province.
The well-trained ISIL terrorists are being dispatched to Afrin by Ankara as the Turkish Army is preparing for dispatch massive military equipment to borders with Syria to launch a major operation against the Kurdish militias in Northeastern Syria.
