Seismic Activity Causes Tremors in Northwest Syria and Southern Turkey

Syrian media reported a noticeable tremor in certain parts of the northwest and south of Turkey on Sunday morning.

On Sunday, the National Seismological Center of Syria reported that a 4.8 magnitude earthquake had hit İskenderun port in southern Turkey at 11:36 AM, Damascus local time.

In northwest Syria, the effects of the quake were felt in both Aleppo and Latakia.

At 5:26 AM on Sunday morning, the Syrian Seismological Center reported a magnitude 3.2 earthquake in the east of Hama, occurring at a depth of 10 kilometers.

No casualties or damage to buildings were reported immediately.
