‘Hamas victory against Zionists strengthened resistance in ME’

Iran Majlis (parliament) Speaker Ali Larijani says the recent victory of the Palestinian resistance movement Hamas against Israeli regime has strengthened the power of anti-Zionist resistance in the region.

According to Press TV, Larijani said on Saturday: “The recent victory, which was a continuation of the victory of the Lebanese resistance movement Hezbollah during the 33-day war in 2006 and the victory the Palestinian resistance movement in the 22-day war in 2008, has stabilized the power of the anti-Zionist resistance in the region.”
The Iranian official made the remarks in a meeting with Hezbollah Secretary General Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah during his visit to Lebanon.
On Wednesday, Egypt announced that the Israeli regime and the Palestinian resistance movement of Hamas had reached a cease-fire agreement. Under the deal, the Palestinians and Israelis agreed to end all hostilities.
Larijani stressed Iran’s continued support for the resistance of the regional nations, particularly Palestine and Lebanon, against Israeli regime.
Nasrallah, for his part, described Hamas’ victory as a great achievement and hailed Iran’s all-out support for the Islamic resistance.
