Yemen Strikes Israeli Military Sites in Jaffa in Response to Gaza Atrocities
The Yemeni Armed Forces have declared the execution of a drone strike against two Israeli military installations in the occupied Jaffa area. This action has been described as a direct retaliation to what has been termed an ongoing genocide against Palestinians in Gaza.
In a statement released on Friday, the YAF reported that the attack involved two “Yaffa” drones, signifying a demonstration of unwavering support for the Palestinian populace and resistance fighters in Gaza.
On the same day, Israeli military forces launched a lethal airstrike targeting Gaza City’s Shejaiya neighborhood, resulting in the deaths of at least 29 civilians, predominantly women and children. More than 50 individuals sustained injuries, and numerous people are still believed to be trapped beneath debris, as reported by local sources.
The Ministry of Health in Gaza has reported that since the onset of the Israeli military campaign in October 2023, the conflict has resulted in the deaths of more than 50,912 individuals, with over 115,688 others injured in the Gaza Strip.
The Yemeni Armed Forces have reaffirmed their unwavering support for the Palestinian people, emphasizing their steadfast commitment to maintaining their stance.
In a recent statement, officials declared unwavering commitment, asserting that U.S. actions against Yemen will not dissuade their determined pursuit of religious, moral, and humanitarian responsibilities towards Gaza. The commitment will persist until hostilities cease and the blockade is removed.
Earlier on Friday, the YAF announced it was behind a retaliatory attack on the US aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman stationed in the Red Sea.
The YAF announced on Wednesday that they have successfully downed another US MQ-9 Reaper drone, marking the third such occurrence within a span of ten days.
The Yemeni army reported that it successfully downed an American MQ-9 drone operating in the al-Jawf Governorate. The drone was intercepted using a locally manufactured missile, an achievement attributed to the assistance of a higher power, according to the statement.
The MQ-9 Reaper is a sophisticated drone employed heavily by the United States military for surveillance and strike operations.
The destruction of three drones, each with an estimated value of $33 million, results in a financial loss approaching $100 million for Washington.
