Yemen: US assault on the capital city of Sana’a resulted in the death of one civilian and left 13 others injured
The Yemeni Ministry of Health and Environment has reported an attack attributed to the United States on civilian infrastructure and residential structures in the Ma’in District of Sana’a. This incident has resulted in the death of one civilian and left 13 others injured.

Preliminary reports indicate that the recent U.S. airstrike in the Asr neighborhood, situated on the western fringes of Sana’a, has resulted in injuries to five individuals, among whom are three children and two women.
The ministry issued a strong condemnation of the aggression, attributing full responsibility to the United States for what it described as the deliberate targeting of civilians and residential areas.
The ministry declared that the deliberate targeting of civilians and civilian infrastructure constitutes a serious war crime and represents a clear breach of international laws and treaties.
On Saturday, United States military forces deployed in the Red Sea executed a fresh series of airstrikes targeting northern Yemen’s Sa’ada province. The attacks specifically focused on regions in close proximity to the provincial capital.
According to reports from Yemen’s al-Masirah TV, three United States airstrikes targeted the coastal airport along the Red Sea late on Saturday. Furthermore, additional aerial assaults were conducted on the port of Salif, located in the Hudaydah province.
U.S. military aircraft conducted a series of five aerial assaults on the Majzar district situated in the central region of Ma’rib province. Additionally, other military operations were carried out in the Sahar and Kitaf wa al-Boqe’e districts in northwestern Sa’ada.
From Wednesday to Friday, al-Masirah reported a series of similar attacks, with the US Central Command confirming ongoing military operations in Yemen starting midweek.
On March 15, a series of U.S. airstrikes resulted in the deaths of 53 individuals, marking the initial offensive action in Yemen since President Donald Trump’s assumption of office.
US actions in Yemen followed promises from Sana’a to target vessels associated with Israeli interests, in response to Tel Aviv’s reinstatement of a blockade on Gaza. This blockade has disrupted the flow of essential aid to the area.
In a development indicating heightened tensions, the United States has revealed its intention to dispatch a second aircraft carrier, the USS Carl Vinson, to the area.
In remarks made on Saturday evening, Abdul-Malik al-Houthi, leader of the Ansarullah movement, stated that although the United States traditionally regards aircraft carriers as emblems of military strength, they have now transformed into “a burden and a danger” for the country.
