The Yemeni army and popular forces destroyed a large number of military posts and centers in three provinces in Southern Saudi Arabia.

The Yemeni forces’ missile and artillery fire has destroyed tens of Saudi military sites in Najran, Jizan and Asir provinces in the last three days.

A large number of Saudi troops have been killed and many more wounded in the Yemeni forces’ retaliatory attacks on their positions.

Earlier today, FNA dispatches said that the Yemeni army and popular forces continued their nonstop advances on the Saudi soil and seized several military bases and sites in Saudi Arabia’s Southern provinces after heavy clashes with the kingdom’s troops.

The Yemeni forces captured a number of Saudi military bases in Jizan province, Yemeni Army Commander Ebrahim Moussa al-Hamdani told FNA.

Al-Hamdani noted that the army and popular forces also seized the Riyadh government’s strategic military positions in Najran province after several hours of clashes with the Saudi forces, seizing heavy machinery and a large cache of weapons and military tools, including mortar-launchers.

The clashes are still underway in multiple fronts in Najran province.

Elsewhere, military sources disclosed fierce clashes between pro-Hadi militias and Al-Qaeda terrorists in the city of Ja’ar in Yemen’s Abyan province which resulted in death of senior pro-Hadi Commander Ali Al-Seyd.

The clashes came after the Al-Qaeda terrorists took control of Ja’ar and Zanzibar regions in Abyan province after heavy clashes with pro-Hadi militias.

On Wednesday, Yemeni army spokesman Sharaf Luqman said that the army and the popular forces were advancing deep inside Saudi Arabia and capturing more military bases in the Southern parts of the kingdom.

“The Yemeni forces have managed to inflict heavy losses on the Saudi enemy inside Saudi Arabia,” Luqman said.

He reiterated that the Yemeni army and the popular forces were having high morale to fight the enemy, and said, “The military operation to capture new military bases of Saudi Arabia is underway.”

Luqman said that the Saudi enemy has resorted to airstrikes which will surely fail.

On Monday, the Yemeni army and popular committees took control of several more military bases in Najran province after they captured several strategic military centers in three Saudi provinces on Sunday night.

The Yemeni army and popular committees captured three Saudi military bases in al-Shurfa area in Najran.

Earlier reports said the Yemeni forces took control of a military camp in the Saudi border region of Najran, destroying six military vehicles.

Sources also said the Yemeni forces destroyed 2 Abrams tanks, 3 Bradley armored vehicles and 3 bulldozers in Najran province.

Saudi Arabia that has been striking Yemen for 255 days now to restore power to fugitive president Mansour Hadi, a close ally of Riyadh, has been using ISIL and al-Qaeda of the Arab Peninsula to push back the revolutionary Ansarullah forces and Yemen’s army.

The Saudi-led aggression has so far killed at least 7,116 Yemenis, including hundreds of women and children.

Hadi stepped down in January and refused to reconsider the decision despite calls by Ansarullah revolutionaries of the Houthi movement.

Despite Riyadh’s claims that it is bombing the positions of the Ansarullah fighters, Saudi warplanes are flattening residential areas and civilian infrastructures.

The Saudi-led attacks have paved the ground for the growth of the terrorist groups in Yemen, including the ISIL and al-Qaeda.
