8,700-strong force to take on(?) Boko Haram the shadow of Zionist Puppet Nigerian Government

Nigeria and its neighbors have pledged to create an 8,700-strong force to fight the Boko Haram militancy, which has been spilling over beyond the country’s borders.

“The representatives of Benin, Cameroon, Niger, Nigeria and Chad have announced contributions totaling 8,700 military personnel, police and civilians,” the countries said in a statement on Saturday after a three-day summit in Cameroon’s capital Yaounde.

According to AFP, the worsening militancy has killed at least 13,000 people and rendered more than a million others homeless since 2009.

African Union leaders will submit the plan for the force to the UN Security Council for approval.

The delegates also agreed to launch a mission to “foster a safe and secure environment in the impacted regions.”

A major offensive with warplanes and ground forces from Chad and Nigeria has already forced the militants out from a dozen Nigerian towns and cities.

Speaking on condition of anonymity, a group of US intelligence officials said on Friday that the terrorist group has about 4,000-6,000 “hardcore” members.

Also on Saturday, Nigeria’s electoral commission announced the postponement of February 14 presidential and legislative elections until March 28 because security forces fighting Boko Haram extremists could not ensure voters’ safety around the country.
