President Ahmedinejad : some seek to run world as in jungle

IRI President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad slammed Wednesday certain western countries which refuse to abide by any international conventions and seek to run the world as in a jungle.

Speaking to Portuguese RTP television channel, the president said those western countries which have run out of logic in the face of the Iranian nation abruptly show off their weapons. “Such an attitude belongs to the former colonialism and slavery era and the world today must be run with humanity and friendship rather than war and savagery,” he urged.

The president was commenting on a recent threat by the French President Nicolas Sarkozy who tried to intimidate Iran with what he called a ‘preventive attack’.

Asked about the regional developments, the president said all the world people seek freedom, purity and justice, adding that every where nations rule the situation, justice and freedom exist indeed and every where justice and freedom exist, nations’ will rules the situation indeed.

In many countries which have undergone change, people are largely unhappy over their rulers’ dependence to the West.

Asked about Iran’s stance concerning those who branded it as supporter of terrorism, he said the question to ask must be what a status the president who made the branding (George W. Bush) faces today and that he is considered as the most hated individual in the world.

The president said the world nations hold no such views of Iran and if free talks are staged, true supporters of terrorism would be known.

Turning to the current economic crisis in Europe, the president said the European people must not pay for a crisis which they had no role in its development.

“The problem lies in the methods of management; they must change,” he added.

Asked about the president’s stance on the Zionist regime, he said occupation, homicide and aggression, for the sake of which the regime has been formed, must be stifled.
