Beijing to host seminar on Iran-China ties

A seminar marking the 40th anniversary of Iran-China diplomatic ties will be held here from June 8-9.

The two-day event will seek to review the avenues for developing bilateral ties in various arenas.

It will be attended by a number of economic and cultural figures of the two countries.

Six specialized meetings focusing on trade and economy, tourism, culture, media, religions and medicine will be organized concurrent with the seminar.

Iran-China ties has experienced an increasing trend in recent years as the volume of commercial exchanges between the two states has risen from $400 million in 1994 to $30 billion in 2010.
