Zionist forces killed 10 Palestinians at a Gaza cafe located in an area designated as a ‘humanitarian zone’

Zionist forces have reportedly killed at least 10 Palestinians at a tent cafe located within a designated "humanitarian zone" in Gaza's al-Mawasi. This incident is part of the ongoing escalation of violence and destruction in the region.

Late Monday, an Israeli drone launched a double missile strike targeting a small tent cafe in the al-Mawasi area, west of Khan Yunis in southern Gaza, resulting in the deaths of at least 10 civilians. This incident has increased the death toll from Israeli operations in Gaza over the past 24 hours to 40.

An Al Jazeera correspondent in Deir el-Balah, central Gaza, reported that a popular coffee shop, frequented by patrons seeking internet access and entertainment such as football games on a large screen, was targeted by a drone strike. According to eyewitness accounts, the drone launched at least two missiles at the establishment, which was reportedly crowded at the time of the attack.

He underscored that Israeli claims about ‘evacuation zones’ and ‘safe areas’ are nothing more than misleading narratives.

Medical professionals at Nasser Hospital in Khan Yunis have reported that the recent incident resulted in severe disfigurements among the victims. Seven individuals are presently undergoing surgical procedures to treat their injuries.

Health authorities at al-Awda Hospital in Nuseirat, located in central Gaza, confirmed on Monday that 20 civilians lost their lives amid a series of air and ground attacks. The Israeli military reportedly advanced into the Nuseirat refugee camp from the west, directing operations against residents and displaced families attempting to evacuate.

According to a local resident near the scene, some individuals were unable to evacuate and found themselves trapped inside their homes, frantically calling for a chance to escape. Meanwhile, others hurriedly left, carrying whatever belongings they could manage as they fled. The tank assault on the refugee camp took residents by surprise, the resident reported.

In northern Gaza, there has been a marked intensification of hostilities, particularly in the vicinity of Kamal Adwan Hospital and the central market area of Gaza City, following the issuance of fresh evacuation directives by the Israeli military.

Health authorities have verified that an Israeli drone strike targeted Kamal Adwan Hospital near Beit Lahiya, injuring three healthcare workers.

Furthermore, an Israeli airstrike on Beit Lahiya resulted in the deaths of four individuals, while numerous casualties were reported following another air assault in Gaza City.

As the conflict in Gaza extends into its 14th month, the Health Ministry has reported that Israeli offensives have resulted in the deaths of at least 43,603 Palestinians, with an additional 102,929 individuals sustaining injuries.
