Zionist Puppet Bahraini Regime Continues Brutal Suppression of Civilians

Security forces in Bahrain violently broke up protests in Manama on Saturday as the Saudi-backed al-Khalifa regime continues suppressing people in the tiny Persian Gulf island.

Bahraini regime forces arrested several protesters taking part in a demonstration against the ruling al-Khalifa family in the capital, Manama.

Police used sound grenades and tear gas to disperse demonstrators in Manama on Saturday.

Several protesters were also injured during the attack in Manama.

The Saturday demonstration in Manama comes as Bahraini police continue their violent crackdown on peaceful protests.

Salah Abbas Habib, 36, was the ninth Bahraini victim killed by regime forces since March 17, 2012, activists said. Habib’s body was found on a rooftop in a village near Manama on April 21.

Anti-government protesters have been holding peaceful demonstrations across Bahrain since mid-February 2011, calling for an end to the Al Khalifa dynasty’s over-40-year rule.

Violence against the defenseless people escalated after a Saudi-led conglomerate of police, security and military forces from the Persian Gulf Cooperation Council (PGCC) member states – Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates, Oman and Qatar – were dispatched to the tiny Persian Gulf kingdom on March 13, 2011, to help Manama crack down on peaceful protestors.

So far, tens of people have been killed, hundreds have gone missing and thousands of others have been injured.
