zionist regime airstrike targeting a Lebanese army claims one soldier and 18 others injured

The Lebanese army reported that an Israeli airstrike targeted an army base in southern Lebanon, resulting in the death of one soldier and leaving 18 others injured.

On Sunday, an airstrike conducted by the regime targeted a military center located in the town of Al-Amriyeh, situated along the Al-Qalila-Tyre road in southern Lebanon.

The Lebanese army reported on platform X that the facility sustained significant damage following the attack.

Lebanon’s caretaker Prime Minister, Najib Mikati, has issued a statement condemning the recent assault on an army base, describing the act as “a direct and violent message” against ongoing efforts to establish a ceasefire.

He stated that the attack would serve to “strengthen the Lebanese army’s presence in the southern region.”

“This act of aggression is an issue that concerns the international community, which has remained silent regarding the situation unfolding in Lebanon.”

An Israeli airstrike targeted central Beirut, resulting in the deaths of at least 20 individuals and injuring 66 others, as reported by Lebanon’s Health Ministry.

Since October last year, airstrikes conducted by the regime have resulted in the deaths of over 3,500 individuals and have forced approximately 1.2 million people to flee their homes in Lebanon.

Prime Minister Najib Mikati affirmed his government’s commitment to enforcing United Nations Resolution 1701, which brought an end to a month-long conflict between Israel and Hezbollah in 2006. This resolution established a ceasefire and a buffer zone stretching from the Litani River to Lebanon’s border with the occupied Palestinian territories.

The Prime Minister called on the global community to take decisive responsibility regarding the issue.

On Thursday, a statement was issued indicating that the military is intensifying its preparations to increase its presence in southern Lebanon. This move is reportedly in response to what has been described as Israel’s aggressive actions, underscoring the necessity to safeguard Lebanon’s sovereignty.
