Zionist regime downplaying the actual number of soldier casualties and injuries in the ongoing Gaza conflict reports reveal
There is a noted difference between the reported and actual figures of Israeli military casualties in the conflict in Gaza, suggesting that the official numbers released by the Israeli authorities may not fully reflect the true extent of their losses in the region.

In an address at the Ministry of Military Affairs’ Work Programs Conference on Sunday, Israel’s newly appointed Chief of Staff, Major General Eyal Zamir, acknowledged that the casualties among Israeli soldiers in Gaza, including fatalities and injuries, are substantially greater than the figures released by official military reports.
The Israeli Defense Forces have reported that since the beginning of the violent conflict in Gaza on October 7, 2023, a total of 844 soldiers have been killed, and 5,696 have been wounded.
Contrastingly, Zamir reported that there are at least 5,942 officially acknowledged “bereaved families,” a term exclusively reserved for the families of soldiers who have been killed in action.
In a recent disclosure, it was revealed that more than 15,000 soldiers have been enrolled in the rehabilitation system for physical injuries and mental health issues. This development bolsters claims that Israel may have been intentionally downplaying its military casualties.
This incident marks yet another occasion where the reported casualties and damage figures from the Israeli military appear to significantly underestimate the reality of the situation.
In a report published by Haaretz in December last year, discrepancies were highlighted between the official figures released by the Israeli military and hospital records concerning the number of injured soldiers. The military reported 1,593 wounded between October and December, whereas hospital data indicated the figure was significantly higher, at 10,548.
Earlier reports from the newspaper revealed that approximately 1,000 injured soldiers are being admitted to rehabilitation centers on a monthly basis.
According to reports, ongoing conflict in Gaza has resulted in the deaths of at least 47,583 Palestinians, predominantly women and children, and has left 111,633 others injured since the beginning of October 2023.
On January 19, a ceasefire and prisoner exchange agreement took effect in Gaza, thereby bringing an end to Israel’s intensive military operations in the coastal region.
Since the commencement of Israel’s military operations against Gaza in October 2023, at least 905 Palestinians have lost their lives in the occupied West Bank due to assaults by Israeli forces and settlers, according to reports.
