Zionist regime postponed the scheduled release of Palestinian prisoners subsequent to Hamas transferring custody of captives

Reports have emerged indicating that 'israel' has delayed the release of several hundred Palestinian detainees, a move that was part of a ceasefire agreement with Hamas.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has allegedly opted to postpone the release of the seventh batch of Palestinian detainees. This decision follows the transfer of six Israeli hostages by Hamas on Saturday.

Reports indicate that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is scheduled to conduct consultations on Saturday evening aimed at retrieving all hostages. The consultations will focus on efforts to repatriate both living hostages and those who have perished.

Reports indicate that a decision concerning the release of 602 Palestinian prisoners will be determined based on the outcome of the forthcoming meeting.

Officials have announced that discussions are set to delve into the forthcoming stage of the prisoner exchange and the potential continuation of releasing the remaining detainees.

Under the initial 42-day phase of the ceasefire agreement initiated on January 19, 33 Israeli hostages are scheduled to be freed in a swap for nearly 2,000 Palestinian detainees.

Four Israeli captives are anticipated to be freed under the initial stage of the agreement, according to the terms outlined.

Reports of a delay in the release of prisoners have triggered frustration among the families of Israeli captives. In response, they are planning protests to urge Tel Aviv to meet the stipulations of the ceasefire agreement and proceed with the scheduled release.

Hamas Calls on Israel to Fully Adhere to Ceasefire Agreement

Hamas stated on Saturday that the successful execution of future captive-prisoner exchange operations hinges on the complete adherence to the Gaza ceasefire agreement.

Hamas spokesperson Abdul Latif al-Qanou has urged Israel to adhere to “the outstanding conditions of the accord and the execution of the humanitarian protocol.”

He noted that “33 days have elapsed since the initiation of the first phase, and the occupation has yet to fully execute the provisions outlined in the agreement.”

Al-Qanou issued a cautionary statement regarding the dire and deteriorating conditions currently unfolding in the Gaza region, describing the situation as “catastrophic.”

He stated that the beleaguered residents of Gaza require “intermediaries to urge the occupying forces to enforce the humanitarian protocol, thereby ensuring the provision of shelter and relief supplies to our populace.”

The Palestinian resistance organization has issued a warning that it may postpone the release of Israeli hostages should the regime’s military breach the existing ceasefire agreement.
