Palestine Hero on 36th day of hunger strike

Palestinian detainee Khader Adnan’s hunger strike in Israeli jails on Saturday entered day 36 in a row.

Khader Adnan’s wife expressed her concern about her husband’s health with all the isolation and medical neglect he is subjected to. She also said that responses at the popular and official level to her husband’s issue did not meet expectations.

Mohjat al-Quds Foundation said that Adnan started an open hunger strike in Israeli jails 36 days ago in protest at his arbitrary detention, noting that he is denied visits by his lawyer and family.

Mohjat al-Quds called on concerned human rights organizations and the International Committee of the Red Cross to immediately intervene and pressure Israel to stop its aggressive policies against Palestinian prisoners, to give them their rights which are guaranteed by all international conventions, and to allow them to meet their lawyers.

The Israeli occupation forces arrested Khader Adnan, an Islamic Jihad leader, on 11 December 2017 and accused him of “incitement”.

A resident of Arraba town in Jenin, Adnan had waged two hunger strikes in Israeli jails against administrative detention and was able to force the Israeli authorities to respond to his demands.
