Massive march in solidarity with prisoners

Hundreds of Palestinians marched in Nablus city at noon Wednesday in solidarity with Palestinian prisoners in Israeli occupation jails.

Leaders and cadres of various Palestinian factions took part in the march along with families of prisoners, who hoisted photos of their detained next-of-kin, and called for releasing them.

The relatives chanted slogans denouncing the Israeli occupation’s oppressive practices against those prisoners.

They also lashed out at the “shy” political role played by the Palestinian Authority regarding those prisoners.

Participants called for activating the issue of those prisoners at international platforms and proposed taking the issue of the recent martyrdom of two prisoners while in custody to the international criminal court.

They also castigated the silent attitude of the world community toward the issue of those prisoners, adding that the world should demand the release of hunger striker Samer Issawi and all sick and hunger striking prisoners.
