Iran Responds to Netanyahu’s ‘Red Line’: Full Force against Attack

The Islamic Republic announced it was strong enough to defend itself and that it reserved the right to retaliate with full force against any attack, in response to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s “red line” for Tehran’s nuclear program in a speech Thursday at the UN General Assembly.

Iran’s UN mission said the Zionist entity had made “baseless and absurd allegations against (its) exclusively peaceful nuclear program.”

“While the use, or threat of use, of force under any pretext is a grave violation of the principles of ( the) UN Charter and international law, as well as the norms of international relations, the officials of the Israeli regime are so rude (they) on (a) daily basis threaten countries in the region, particularly my country, (with) military attack,” according to a statement to the assistant representative of Iran at the United Nations which he is supposed to make in the General Assembly meeting.

“The Islamic Republic of Iran is strong enough to defend itself and reserves its full right to retaliate with full force against any attack,” Iran said.

On Thursday, Netanyahu busted out a red marker and an illustration of a bomb to demonstrate “Iran’s worrisome nuclear progress” in front of General Assembly members.
