Iran and Pakistan enhance comprehensive military collaboration, says top General
Major General Mohammad Baqeri, Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces, has announced that Iran and Pakistan are strengthening their military collaboration across multiple sectors.

Baqeri delivered his statements in Islamabad following his arrival on Sunday, where he is heading a senior military delegation at the behest of Pakistan’s army chief, General Asim Munir.
The Iranian and Pakistani military relationship has seen significant progress in recent years, culminating in the establishment of substantial agreements, according to Baqeri.
Highlighting the security challenges posed by the extensive border shared by Iran and Pakistan, he noted that both nations are actively collaborating to transform these border regions into a “frontier of friendship” that fosters greater economic ties and cooperation between the two countries.
A senior Iranian military official highlighted the significant relationship between Iran and Pakistan, noting that both are major Muslim nations situated in the strategically important West and South Asia region, with deep and extensive ties.
According to recent statements, Tehran and Islamabad have aligned perspectives on numerous regional issues that have emerged over the past year.
Baqeri stated that discussions with Pakistani officials would center on regional developments, enabling the two neighboring countries to adopt a unified stance in various international forums.
Iranian and Pakistani officials are set to engage in discussions aimed at enhancing defense collaboration, focusing specifically on border security and counter-terrorism efforts. The agenda will also cover the latest regional developments and issues affecting the Muslim world.
Senior officials from the political, military, and security sectors are scheduled to engage in discussions regarding the agreements previously ratified between the two neighboring nations.
Senior Iranian military officials are scheduled to engage in discussions with Pakistan’s President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, and Defense Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif.
