2 zionist regime forces injured in West Bank stabbing attack as resistance vows to keep up struggle

Two zionist Israeli police officers have been injured, one of them seriously, in a stabbing incident at the Givat Ze’ev settlement in the occupied West Bank.

They were attacked on Almon Street in Givat Ze’ev on Wednesday morning.

The Palestinian attacker was also wounded during the attack, according to zionist media, Hebrew Channel 13.

It came after Palestinian resistance groups called on the Palestinian people to raise the level of confrontation with the occupying regime and escalate resistance in the occupied West Bank in response to the continuous crimes committed by Israel and its plots to steal more Palestinian land.

In a statement on Tuesday, the resistance groups underlined the need to stop Israeli violence in Jerusalem al-Quds, especially in the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood, where Israel has been trying to force Palestinians out of their homes to construct new illegal settlements.

They also warned Israel of the consequences of making “miserable attempts to draw illusory achievements at the expense of Palestinian people, their resistance and their sanctities”, Palestine Today reported.

In a similar statement last week, Palestinian resistance movement Hamas called on all resistance groups in the Gaza Strip to “keep their finger on the trigger and prepare their missiles” to target the Israeli enemy’s strongholds and military installations.

Settlers burn Palestinian crops

On Tuesday evening, Israeli settlers burned Palestinian crops in the south of the city of Hebron (al-Khalil) in the occupied West Bank, a local Palestinian activist said.

“Settlers set fire to crops in the Tuba area, in Masafer Yatta, south of al-Khalil,” Fuad al-Amour told Anadolu Agency.

Al-Amour, who was in the area, explained that the civil defense was late in arriving at the scene to put out the fire because the area was located in lands classified as “C”, which requires obtaining an Israeli permit to enter the area.

Palestinians in the Masafer Yatta area and other parts of the West Bank are subjected to repeated attacks by the Israeli army and settlers, with the aim of putting pressure on them to force them out of their lands.

According to semi-official estimates, there are about 650,000 Israeli settlers in the West Bank, including East Jerusalem al-Quds.

The international community considers the West Bank and East Jerusalem al-Quds as occupied territory, and all Israeli settlement building activities there are illegal under international law.

Also on Tuesday, the Israeli occupation forces demolished two Palestinian homes and confiscated a tent in the southern West Bank under the pretext of building without a permit.

Al-Amour denounced the demolition, pointing out that it comes within the framework of restricting the Palestinian population and expelling them from their homes to carry out its settlement projects.

The Israeli army repeatedly demolishes Palestinian homes in areas classified as “C”, which constitutes about 60 percent of the West Bank.

Tel Aviv announced on Tuesday that it had laid the foundation of a new project to construct 350 settler units in the Beit El settlement near the West Bank city of Ramallah in total disregard for international outcry against the regime’s illegal settlement expansion across the occupied territories, weeks after such moves led to a devastating war with Palestinian resistance groups in Gaza.
