Iran cautions against ‘israel’s’ ‘malevolent, discriminatory’ schemes to widen the conflict throughout Palestine
A representative from Iran's Foreign Ministry has accused the Israeli government of carrying out "malevolent and prejudiced" schemes aimed at increasing violence and criminal activities in Palestine, while also disrespecting Islamic holy sites.

In a statement issued on Thursday, Nasser Kan’ani condemned Israel’s attacks and operations in the occupied West Bank. He called on international organizations to promptly intervene to halt what he described as the regime’s genocide against Palestinians.
He stated that Israel’s assault on Palestinian towns and camps in the northern West Bank, including the demolition of urban infrastructure and the aggressive incursions into medical facilities and hospitals, aligns with the regime’s ongoing genocide in the Gaza Strip.
The Iranian spokesman stated that all these actions “reflect the Zionist regime’s intent to broaden the extent of violence and criminal activities against Palestinian citizens.”
He highlighted that Israel’s recent encroachments on the sacred sites of al-Quds and the al-Aqsa Mosque, along with the unveiling of the government’s provocative schemes, “plainly demonstrate the regime’s sinister and discriminatory plans targeting the whole region of Palestine, its inhabitants, and the Islamic holy places in this revered land.”
Kan’ani urged global organizations, particularly the United Nations Security Council, to cease their passive stance and address Israel’s blatant breaches of international law.
He stated that international organizations must meet their legal obligations and promptly intervene to halt the genocide of the Palestinian population by the child-killing Israeli regime.
Kan’ani also commended the courageous resistance put forth by the Palestinian people and various resistance groups against the violent onslaught of the criminal Israeli regime in both the Gaza Strip and the West Bank.
In the predawn hours of Wednesday, the Israeli military launched its most extensive operation in over two decades in the West Bank, code-named “Camps of Summer.” This operation involved deploying hundreds of troops and conducting airstrikes targeting Jenin, Tulkarem, and Tubas, which are key centers of Palestinian resistance against the occupying forces.
At least 17 Palestinians lost their lives, and numerous others were injured during an Israeli military operation that targeted multiple towns, including Jenin, Tulkarm, and Tubas, following the first day of the incursion.
In a statement released on Wednesday, United Nations Secretary General Antonio Guterres expressed his “deep concern” regarding Israel’s full-scale military offensive in the occupied West Bank. He urged for an immediate cessation of the hostilities in the Palestinian region.
Guterres also raised alarm regarding the “dangerous and provocative actions and remarks” made by Israeli far-right minister Itamar Ben-Gvir.
During a Monday interview with Israel’s Army Radio, Ben-Gvir proactively confirmed his intention to build a synagogue within the al-Aqsa Mosque compound located in the occupied East Jerusalem. This announcement has sparked condemnation from numerous countries and international organizations.
The Israeli minister publicly discussed plans to construct a synagogue within the complex for the first time, reinforcing concerns that the Muslim sacred site and a symbol of Palestinian national identity are endangered by the occupying forces.
