Hamas: Latest attack on Gaza aimed at thwarting March of Return

Hamas movement on Sunday said that the latest Israeli escalation on the Gaza Strip is aimed at intimidating and terrorizing the Palestinian people in the coastal enclave to thwart the Great March of Return scheduled for next Friday.

Hamas’s spokesman Fawzi Barhoum said in a Facebook post that this escalation will strengthen the Palestinian people’s determination to defend their rights, most importantly the right of return, and break the siege on Gaza.

Israeli warplanes at night Saturday launched several airstrikes on a Palestinian resistance site in Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip.

The PIC reporter said that Israeli drones fired three missiles at a resistance post belonging to al-Qassam Brigades, Hamas’s armed wing, northwest of Rafah city.

A fighter jet moments later bombed the same site with two missiles causing some damages but no injuries.
