Al-Nusra Front leader killed in Al-Qusayr

Syrian army has killed an Al-Qaeda leader during battles in al-Qusayr in Homs province.
Syrian army killed an Al-Nusra Front, an Al-Qaeda affiliated terrorist group in Syria during operation in al-Qusayr in Homs Province.

The news of the death of the al-Qaeda leader in al-Qusayr came while the news of the impending takeover of the city by the Syrian army was imminent and complete collapse of ranks of Al-Nusra Front terrorists was reported.

The report emphasized that in a few hours the Syrian army would announce the al-Qusayr city as ‘safe zone.’

Al-Qusayr is the most important route for the terrorist weapons traffic. As one of the diplomats in the British Embassy in Damascus admitted, “more than 60 percent of the weapons that armed opposition groups based in central and southern Syria smuggled into Syria were sent through al-Qusayr and its surrounding villages during the first year.”
