Iran stresses boosting of Farsi courses in Russia

The Iranian ambassador in Russia stressed to boost the seats of teaching Farsi language at the universities of this country.

According to IRIB World Service, in a confab called “Promoting Persian Language and Iranian Studies” held in Iran’s embassy and attended by a number of Russian professors of oriental studies and Iran, Mehdi Sanaei, Iran’s new ambassador to Moscow said: “Promoting Farsi language and Iranology are considered among the main areas of Iran- Russia cooperation.”

He also said: “The impact of Russian professors’ researches is quite visible in the views of the officials and experts of this country attending at international confabs and Iran will always support such moves.”

Sanaei referred to the measures carried out for funding new seats of Farsi teaching at Russian universities and stressed that Iran has put on the agenda to support these seats and promoting them.
