Ayatollah Hamedani calls for unity among Shia, Sunni Muslims

Senior religious leader Ayatollah Hossein Nouri Hamedani on Saturday called on Shia and Sunni Muslims to join hands to thwart enemies’ plots.
In a meeting with a number of Lebanon’s Hezbollah members, Ayatollah Nouri Hamedani warned that Wahhabi movement has plans to divide Shia and Sunni Muslims.

“Our message to Sunni community is that we should not let the enemy to take advantage of our divide,” the ayatollah said.

“We need to unify against common enemy.”

Commenting on the atrocities that Takfiris do in the name of Islam, Ayatollah Nouri Hamedani said that they (Takfiris) should not be seen as followers of a branch of Islam, they are made up by the enemies to present a violent image of Islam to the world.
