Iran’s non-oil exports increase by 31 pc

IRI’s non-oil exports have witnessed a 31 percent increase in the four first months of the Iranian year (started March 21) in comparison with the same figure last year, rising from 6 to 8 billion dollars, Commerce Minister Mehdi Ghazanfari announced on Saturday night.
Speaking in an IRIB news program, he added during the same period, Iran imported 18 billion dollars worth of non-oil products, up from 16 billion dollars in the previous year which shows a 17 percent increase.
The rate of growth of non-oil exports in Iran has always been faster than imports, he noted.
In the past, we had one dollar in exports versus 4 dollars in imports, he said, but now we have one dollar in exports versus 2,5 dollars in imports which shows the progress of the country in this regard.
