Nuclear plant fire causes oil spill in New York

A transformer explosion and fire at the Indian Point nuclear power plant in New York has resulted in an oil spill of undetermined size into the Hudson River. No injuries were reported after the blast, and clean-up operations are underway. But communities close to the facility are now concerned about the absence of a contingency plan to respond in the event of a nuclear accident.
