On Sunday in rural Taiz, the Houthi forces reportedly captured more sites in the Jabal Habashi district after inflicting a significant number of casualties on the Saudi-led Coalition and pro-Hadi forces, resulting in latter’s withdraw.

According to the Yemeni state news agency SABA, a military source confirmed that the Yemeni Army, supported by Popular Committees, have imposed full control over the Bayt Wafi area of the Jabal Habashi district at dawn on Saturday after clashes with the exiled president Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi’s forces of the National Army and Popular Resistance Committees (PRC) backed by Saudi-led Coalition troops.

He also said the Yemeni Army captured several strategic highlands overlooking the Jabal Habashi district in the Taiz province, adding that there were heavy casualties among the pro-Hadi ranks throughout the cleansing operation. A total of 13 bodies were recovered by the Houthi forces.

Meanwhile near the Taiz and Lahj border, the source explained that the army and popular committees burned a Coalition armored vehicle at the Kirsh area. The source added the Coalition warplanes launched nine airstrikes at the coastal Mocha region, as well as three airstrikes in Dhubab region.
