Leader of the Islamic Revolution has told a meeting the US has been committed to its obligations ‘only on paper,’ practically waging Iranophobia.

Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei received thousands of people mostly workers and laborers from across the country on Wednesday where he lavished praise upon laborers as loyal social class to the ideals of the Revolution and the Establishment and who had served it in important junctures of history; “I express my gratitude to laborers and workers,” he added.

“Job security is a major factor of work efficiency among the laborers; the employers and contractors should attend this important issue; however, a major threat is closing of small workshops due to different issues as the lack of resources or outdated or dysfunctional equipment and machinery. Here the employers are not to be blamed, but the responsibility remains with the industry sectors and tech companies,” said the Leader.

Ayatollah Khamenei criticized the mismanagement and insufficiency of banking resources where these resources are channeled to construction sectors and satisfied the financial interests of individuals receiving credits; “this is an unwelcome trend and the Judiciary and government should immediately intervene to prevent squandering of public money in pursuits other than contributing to national improvement of employment and workers’ conditions,” he demanded.

“The production of wealth should not trample on the public and its lower classes; pay rise, improved health of workplace, and promotion of consumption of domestic products would also contribute to better conditions of laborers,” Ayatollah Khamenei added.

The Leader addressed the government officials directly; “an effective controlling system is necessary to guarantee the quality of exports. There has been a trend in government organization-affiliated hypermarkets that all their items are sometimes reported to be imported; this is violation of our laborers’ rights, since unregulated imports of goods which would be produced cheaply inside, effectively forestalls domestic production and only helps foreign laborers in countries source of imports,” he objected.

He also mentioned large-scale smuggled goods as weakening the indigenous economy and production; “I have, in many occasions, warned the government of the scope of the smuggled goods; however, a strong policy and leader should address the issue; in many cases, bribing and threatening the entrepreneurs and small workshop owners is an effective instrument by importers of foreign goods in securing the domestic consumption markets for foreign goods,” Ayatollah Khamenei lamented.

Leader emphasized that the general conditions should inspire optimism; “however, the reality on the field is that there are some pitfalls and some inefficiency in the general working of the system which usually prevent steps forward improvements in this sector; only full exhaustion of domestic capabilities and avoiding empty words would bring favorable results to our laborers society and a solace for them,” he recommended.

Leader then turned to a different issue of US which was “waging Iranophobia, sabotaging Iran’s trade with the world and only remaining committed to its obligations on paper;” “they would say the major architecture of sanctions should be ever-present to discourage investors from going to Iran,” the Leader emphasized. “Domestic production should be revered and goods produced domestically should not be imported; consumption of foreign goods should be established as an anti-value,” Ayatollah Khamenei demanded.

On the runoff Parliamentary elections, Leader highlighted elections and public participation in voting; “the runoff elections are no less important than the major event and everyone should appreciate this importance duly,” he added.
