Veteran NPR Journalist, Translator Killed in Afghanistan Attack

David Gilkey, a veteran news photographer and video editor for National Public Radio, and an Afghan translator, Zabihullah Tamanna, were killed while on assignment in southern Afghanistan, a network spokeswoman said.
