Further fall in petrol consumption in Iran

Consumption of petrol has decreased to 55 million litters in Iran after enforcement of the New Subsidy Law in the country.

On the basis of recent statistics, released by the National Iranian Oil Products Distribution Company (NIOPDC), the average petrol consumption in Iran has decreased to 55.4m litters during the last week showing a decrease of 1.7m litters compared to the preceding week.

Total consumption of petrol in the country during the last week reached 338.3m last week, showing a 2.8 percent decrease.
