Syrian Army, Hezbollah push north to key town of Morek in northern Hama

The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) has been very productive in the northern countryside of Hama today, seizing several points that have been under jihadist control for over six months.

Backed by Hezbollah and the Syrian Social Nationalist Party (SSNP), the Syrian Arab Army captured more sites from the jihadist rebels of Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham near the large town of Souran.

According to Al-Masdar’s Yusha Yuseef, the Syrian Arab Army seized the Al-Ghirbal Checkpoint that is located north of Souran; they would also take control of the Al-Wabidah Farms that are located directly north of Tal Al-Nasriyah.

As a result of this advance on Saturday, the Syrian Arab Army is within striking distance of Morek, which is a strategic town located close to the Idlib Governorate border.
