Syrian Army Captures More Lands along Sukhnah-Deir Ezzur Highway

The Syrian Army troops managed to drive ISIL out of more lands along the al-Sukhnah-Deir Ezzur highway in Eastern Homs after the pro-government forces reopened the strategic highway, field sources reported on Tuesday.
The sources said that the army soldiers pushed ISIL terrorists back from several heights East of the newly-freed al-Saroukh hill along the highway that connects the town of al-Sukhnah in Eastern Homs to Deir Ezzur city.
They further said that the army men inflicted heavy casualties on ISIL, adding that the army units restored security to al-Sukhnah-Deir Ezzur highway and reopened it.
Relevant reports said on Monday that the army men engaged in fierce clashes with the ISIL East of the town of al-Sukhnah Northeast of Palmyra city, and captured al-Saroukh hill that overlooks the al-Sukhnah-Deir Ezzur highway.
A large number of terrorists were killed or wounded and a large volume of ISIL’s military equipment were destroyed in the operation.
