The Iraqi Air Force carried out its second round of airstrikes over the eastern countryside of the Deir Ezzor Governorate this week.
According to the online publication Al-Maloumeh, the Iraqi Air Force bombed an Islamic State (ISIS/ISIL/IS/Daesh) command meting in the Al-Sousah region of Deir Ezzor on Thursday.
As a result of this attack, at least seven Islamic Staate commanders were killed, the Al-Maloumeh report said.
“At least seven ISIL commanders were killed in Iraqi air raids on the terrorists’ military positions in Eastern Deir Ezzur,” Al-Maloumeh quoted a Hashd al-Sha’abi (popular forces) commander as saying on Thursday.
Hashd al-Sha’abi commander Qatari al-Abidi said that a number of ISIS terrorists were also wounded in the Iraqi airstrikes on their positions in al-Souseh region in Eastern Deir Ezzor along Iraq-Syria border.
