Iran’s progress, honor for all Muslims: Malaysian speaker

Speaker of the Malaysian House of Representatives Amin Haji Mulia said here on Thursday that Iran’s progress in the areas of nuclear energy and aerospace is an honor for the entire world of Islam.

In a meeting with Iran’s Ambassador to Kuala Lumpur Mohammad-Mehdi Zahedi, he voiced his country’s support for Iran’s stands regarding various regional and international developments.

He underlined the need for consolidation of unity and solidarity among all Muslim nations.

Referring to the latest developments in the Middle East region, he criticized the double-standard approach of certain countries regarding those developments.

The Malaysian speaker then called for further expansion of Tehran-Kuala Lumpur parliamentary cooperation.

For his part, the Iranian ambassador, on behalf of Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani, invited Mulia to visit the Islamic Republic.
