North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has called on the nation’s military to ready itself for potential conflict
North Korean Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un has urged the nation's military to pursue an "unrestricted" escalation of its nuclear capabilities, aiming to counter perceived threats posed by the United States and its allies, according to reports released on Monday.

North Korean leader Kim Jong-un addressed battalion commanders and political instructors on Friday, emphasizing the necessity for the military to concentrate its efforts on readying for potential conflict, according to a report by the state-run Korean Central News Agency (KCNA).
KCNA reported that he passionately urged all participants to fully commit to making significant and fundamental advancements in enhancing their capabilities for engaging in real warfare.
North Korean leader Kim Jong-un has voiced strong criticism against the United States over its revised nuclear strategies with South Korea and heightened military collaboration with Japan. He labeled this cooperation as an “Asian NATO,” suggesting that it heightens tensions within the region.
In a statement made in September, North Korean leader Kim Jong Un announced plans for a substantial increase in the nation’s nuclear stockpile. This move is positioned as a direct countermeasure to what Kim described as the “reckless expansion” of a US-led military alliance in the region.
He frequently attributes North Korea’s expanding arsenal of weapons to the actions of the United States.
