Israel conducted a missile strike resulting in the destruction of an eight-story residential building in Beirut

The Israeli government has launched a missile strike on a residential building in central Beirut, the capital of Lebanon, resulting in at least 11 fatalities and injuring 63 others. This incident marks an escalation in the ongoing tensions between Israel and Lebanon.

According to a report by Lebanon’s al-Mayadeen television network, Israeli missiles targeted and “completely” demolished an eight-story residential building in Beirut’s Basta district early Saturday.

Nearby structures suffered extensive damage as the blasts echoed across a broad expanse, resonating throughout the city of Beirut.

Lebanon’s National News Agency (NNA) has confirmed that a dawn assault by Israeli forces resulted in five missiles hitting a residential building in the center of Beirut.

The capital city of Beirut was shaken by a devastating incident as Israeli airstrikes demolished an eight-story residential building on al-Mamoun Street in the Basta area. The attack involved five missiles, a local news agency reported.

A day following the Israeli assault on Beirut’s southern suburbs, which resulted in the destruction of an 11-storey building, additional strikes have been reported in the region.

The Lebanese Health Ministry has reported that an additional Israeli offensive in southern Lebanon has resulted in the deaths of at least five paramedics.

**Hezbollah Launches Attacks on Haifa and Khiyam**

The Al-Mayadeen television network has reported that the Lebanese resistance group, Hezbollah, has engaged in confrontations with Israeli occupation forces in southern regions of Lebanon, particularly in the border villages, including Khiyam.

The resistance group launched a concentrated missile and drone assault on Israeli military gatherings, targeting various settlements and bases in Haifa, Acre, and the occupied Golan Heights.

According to reports from resistance media, the group launched a series of attacks on the eastern outskirts of Khiyam, directing rocket salvos and deploying suicide drones at gatherings of occupation forces. These assaults, which occurred eight times, spanned from the early hours of Friday morning until the evening.

Media outlets have reported that rocket strikes have been confirmed at a factory located in Kiryat Ata, situated to the north of Haifa.

Since October 2023, the conflict involving Israeli military actions in Lebanon has resulted in a death toll exceeding 3,500, with over 15,000 additional individuals reported injured.

A majority of individuals have perished in the last month as a result of escalating airstrikes and an aggressive ground offensive.

Hezbollah has mounted a staunch resistance against what it perceives as aggression by the Israeli regime towards Lebanon.
